More than 10 named endowments (see links on left) directed toward specific programs have been established at the Nebraska State Bar Foundation. Generous donors have entrusted these endowments to the Foundation to be used for specific, identified purposes. None of the income from the named endowments is used for program administration, except for the Infinity Fund and the George and Melrae Svoboda Legal Education Fund.
The Infinity Fund is unique in that it ensures the Foundation is able to underwrite staffing and operational expenses. It also ensures the income from the other named endowments goes toward the purposes outlined by the donors.
The Bar Foundation’s Endowment Management Committee (EMC) meets quarterly with investment advisors to review the endowments. The EMC oversees and manages the Foundation’s investments.
