Law Day Job Shadowing is celebrated annually around the state of Nebraska. Groups of fifth graders spend an hour or more with lawyers, judges, court clerks, court reporters or other professionals, including law enforcement officials. The fifth graders typically visit government offices or the local courthouse and do activities such as a mock trial. 

The next Dan Jewell Trial Institute has been scheduled for July 8-9, 2022 and it will take place at Creighton University. The application is available.

The 2021-2022 National High School Mock Trial season is complete. Teams competed virtually at the host state in Michigan. The state of Nebraska was represented by Creighton Preparatory School from Omaha, NE. Creighton Preparatory finished 13th at National High School Mock Trial Championships. Congrats!

Creighton Prep Wins Nebraska State Mock Trial 2021-2022

Five schools competed in "We the People" on Thursday, December 16th with Lincoln East High School taking top awards. 

Thirty Nebraska lawyers and judges are among the newest Fellows of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation. 

NCSC's Civics Education Essay Contest gives 3rd-12th grade students the opportunity to understand and explain the importance and the role of the United States government. Winners receive a total of $3,000 in scholarship money.
